The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the use of colchicine (Lodoco) for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases on behalf of AGEPHA Pharma.
It is the first anti-inflammatory medication that reduces the risk of heart attacks by 31% and is taken orally once daily.
